Food and Basic Needs Resource Assistance – Building Brighter Communities
Building Brighter Communities partners with other organizations to provide food and other basic needs to people who otherwise lack access to those things due to financial or other barriers.
In urgent and extreme cases, we provide emergency groceries.
We also assist eligible community members apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and we do our best to connect those who are not eligible for government assistance with other long-term food assistance programs.

Food Pantry – Converse First Baptist Church
Converse FBC operates a food pantry ministry in affiliation with the San Antonio Food Bank. It is open to all who are in need of food assistance for themselves or their families. We will serve as many as possible with the food we have to share.

Founded in 1980, the San Antonio Food Bank serves one of the largest service areas in Southwest Texas. Our focus is for clients to have food for today but to also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.
