    Have you ever sung like a bat? No? Well, come to the Converse Public Library on Friday, June 22 at 10:30 am and Lucas Miller, the “Singing Zoolgogist” will teach you how at his multi-media family concert. Don’t worry if you can’t carry a tune because you don’t actually make any sounds, you just move your lips and act like you’re singing so high no one can hear you. Miller, recognized as an “American Masterpiece” by the National Endowment for the Arts, blends music, puppetry, projected images, and “zoological, stand-up comedy” to teach about monarch butterflies, wetlands, animal defenses, endangered species, symbiosis, and other nature-related topics. *Partially funded through the Texas Commission on the Arts Respond Performance Support Grant

    Referred to as "a Texas treasure" by the State Library Association, Joe McDermott released his first album of children's music in 1988. A former Montessori teacher, Joe has dedicated the last 30 years to honing the art and craft of entertaining children.
