JUSTICE CENTER RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
The Honorable Lamar Smith, United States Congressman, 21st District, came out to support the City of Converse with the New Justice Center as the Key Note Speaker during a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Saturday, December 10, 2005. In addition to Congressman Lamar Smith; the late Converse Municipal Judge Ed Minarich, Mayor Craig Martin, Councilmember Jim Uballe, and Converse Chief of Police Rick Jamison helped to commemorate the long awaited center.
The new facility will house more than 50 officers who will provide increased services to the citizens of Converse and the surrounding area. The new Justice Center is located at 402 S. Seguin and in addition will accommodate a larger City Council Chamber, Municipal Courtroom and provide for much needed parking. The facility will also house a state of the art dispatch communication center.
