CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION

MINUTES OF JANUARY 2, 2007

6:45 PM

The Charter Review Commission of the City of Converse met in a regular meeting at the Converse Municipal Complex on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 6:45 PM to discuss various items on the agenda. The following were present:

Mr. Milton Smith, Councilman and Chairman

Mr. Richard Weers, Vice Chairman

Mr. Carlton Degenhardt, Member

Mr. Reginal Harris, Member

Mr. Bill Manning, Member

Ms. Janet Peacock, Member

Mr. Sam Hughes, City Manager

Mr. Felix Arambula, III, City Attorney

1. Call the Meeting to Order

At approximately 6:45 PM, Chairman Smith called the meeting to order. Chairman Smith stated all members were present with the exception of Ms. Cindee Dupaquier and Mr. Bob Schoen.

2. Action to Approve the Minutes of the Charter Review Commission Meeting of December 4, 2006

Mr. Weers made a motion to approve agenda item #2. Mr. Harris seconded the motion.

It passed unanimously to approve agenda item #2.

3. Recess Until City Council Meeting Called to Order

At approximately 6:46 PM, Chairman Smith recessed the meeting.

4. Discussion of Proposed Charter Amendments with City Council

Chairman Smith allowed his Commission members to participate with City Council during each item on the City Council agenda.

5. Adjournment

Chairman Smith thanked the Commission for their hard work. At approximately 9:05 PM, he adjourned the Charter Review Commission meeting.
